Would You Raise a Child With Someone You Chose Instead of Someone You Dated?

I’m curious what everyone thinks about this.

As a mom-to-be, I’ve realized that the qualities that make someone a great co-parent aren’t always the same qualities people look for when dating.

If you had the opportunity to intentionally choose someone to build a stable, loving environment for a child, would that matter more to you than romance?

For me, reliability, communication, emotional maturity, kindness, and consistency have become way more attractive than grand gestures.

I’m currently looking to connect with people who genuinely want to be involved, supportive, and committed to creating a healthy village for a child. Not perfection—just honesty, teamwork, and mutual respect.

So what’s your opinion?

Would you rather raise a child with:
A) Someone you’re deeply attracted to but can’t always depend on
OR
B) Someone dependable, emotionally mature, and committed to showing up every day?

And for those interested in co-parenting, what qualities are non-negotiable for you?

I’d especially love to hear from people in Indiana and throughout the U.S. 😊
