Hi everyone! I am new to the community and I am currently 37 going on 38. Before I can have a baby I need to lose a lot of weight. If I continue on my current path I will reach my goal weight by May of 2019. My question is should I go ahead and start the search process or should I wait until I am half way or have met my goal weight?

I don't see why you should wait. I don't see how a solid co-parenting arrangement is going to develop instantaneously anyway. You could always get medical certification on the impact of weight on your fertility and also periodically on your weight loss progress should any prospective parents need it for reassurance.
